Responsibilities:
As an Educator, you will be a vital contributor to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs.
Every day, you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives, ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.
To be successful in this role, you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff.
* Demonstrates adherence to the Standards of Conduct Requirements.
* Participates in an ongoing education needs assessment of the professional and non-professional staff as appropriate. Incorporates strategic plans and objectives in the assessment process.
* Plans, organizes, conducts and coordinates professional educational activities (ensuring compliance with all licensing agencies) based on assessed needs of staff, hospital goals, and assessed needs of the patient population. Assists in the preparation of the department's strategic plan, yearly educational plan, goals and objectives.
* Coordinates and conducts general and Nursing Orientations, annual update, and other mandatory educational experiences, and assesses needs
* Evaluates educational activities in assigned areas annually and reports results to Director, Nursing Operations. Revises programs appropriately according to evaluations and/or standards of practice.
* Develops and monitors the orientation process for all nursing services staff; which includes identification, selection, training and evaluation of preceptors.
Qualifications:
Required
* Three years recent acute care experience in critical care (ICU) nursing practice withdemonstrated leadership experience and
* Current and Active Registered Nurse: CA,
* AHA Basic Life Support
Preferred
* Bachelors Of Nursing and Minimum one year in the advanced practice role in specialty nursing practice., upon hire
