Overview:
Clinical Nurse Educator - NICU
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Clinical Nurse Educator - NICU is a key member of the clinical education team and supports the ongoing development of nursing staff within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Responsibilities:
* Provide education and training to NICU nursing staff.
* Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
* Develop and update educational materials and learning resources.
* Mentor and support new graduate nurses and staff members.
* Round on the unit to provide bedside education and clinical support.
* Assist with the implementation of new policies, procedures, and equipment.
* Support go-live initiatives and department education projects.
* Collaborate with nurse leaders and educators across the health system to ensure consistent educational practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Graduate Degree, preferred. MSN, preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
* NICU nursing experience required.
* RN professional certification in a relevant specialty required within six (6) months of hire.
* Previous education, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
