				Overview:

The Clinical Medical Social Worker for the ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat/Audiology) and Clinical Therapies (Speech, Occupational, Physical Therapies) services provides much needed psychosocial support to young patients and their families who are receiving care from these teams.  As an important member of the interdisciplinary team, this social worker partners with the medical team and the patient and their  family to improve or maintain social, emotional, functional and physical health by addressing barriers to accessing care and promoting engagement of the patient/family in their healthcare. 

Provides developmentally appropriate, outcome-focused diagnostic and therapeutic service to patients and families in accordance with the scope of practice as defined in Chapter 4757 of the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4757.01 et seq. Practices professional social work and promotes advocacy in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics for Social Work and maintains a current Ohio Social Work license.

Mon-Fri 8am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

* Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provides Clinical Medical Social Work services to patients and their families to improve or maintain social, emotional, functional and physical health (Continuously).
* Provides consultation, education, and training to staff regarding psychosocial issues that impact the delivery of optimal health care services (Frequently).
* Participates in the development and delivery of education, research and continuous quality improvement (Frequently).

Qualifications:

Education: MSW

Licensure: LSW, LISW preferred

Experience: 2 years clinical social work experience preferred.
