Overview:
This role is the designated Director of Nursing for their Ambulatory Service Center (ASC) location. The Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Service Center is responsible for overseeing the coordination of nursing practice for the Ambulatory Service Center (ASC). In the role, the Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Service Center should have a vision of the big picture with an understanding that enhancing clinical effectiveness may not be a one-time endeavor, and that meaningful change requires continuous improvement. The Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Service Center also must have foresight to understand that a change in one process may affect another. Expectations include creativity, influencing the teams executing the change, evaluating and designing nursing process and assisting with the execution of changes. The Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Service Center must have experience with matrixed leadership in a large organization and be able to demonstrate leading through influence. The Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Service Center will collaborate and work well with all stakeholders, including the Medical Director and ASC Administrator as part of the ASC leadership team that fosters remarkable outcomes including but not limited to safety & quality, team well-being, patient satisfaction, operational excellence, and growth.
Qualifications:
* Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.
* Experience: 5 years, required. Minimum of three years in a healthcare setting. Prior Ambulatory Surgical Center experience with leadership responsibility, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: RN, required.
* Additional Skills (required):
* Computer literacy, proficiency with Outlook, Word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets; able to independently use office equipment such as fax, copier and scanner; sufficiently proficient in medical equipment to guide the selection and bid process. Able to operate all appropriate clinical equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Able to perform the necessary functions on the center's computer systems. Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians. Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
* Strong background in patient centric care; Experience with facilitating education and training; Must have the ability to complete assignments required for State, Regulatory, Accreditation and other required organizations.
* Experience in leadership roles; Strong ethical and moral character references; Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication. Accuracy and attention to detail without compromise of patient care.
