Overview: MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is proud to provide healthcare staffing solutions to the California Department of State Hospitals. We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Napa State Hospital located in Napa, California. Responsibilities: The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will work under the general direction of the departmenal Pathologist and the Supervising Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform a full range of clinical laboratory procedures according to established protocols. This includes gathering and preparing laboratory specimens, making smears, examining cultures, recording test results, and reviewing them for completeness and accuracy. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will also help ensure that the department is in compliance with the Joint Commission and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) requirements and participate in the departmental Quality Assurance and Improvement program. Qualifications: * Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the state of California * Active CPR certification * Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
