Responsibilities:

This job is responsible for coordinating and troubleshooting VMFH clinical education training events to assure they run smoothly and are fully supported in accordance with established standards and procedures. Work includes conference room scheduling, responding to escalated internal/external customer inquiries/requests, overseeing training material production, coordinating the flow of department training information and maintaining training and certification-related data in the Learning Management System. An incumbent also teaches classes, including Workplace Violence skills (WPV) and other appropriate classes as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

Organizes, facilitates and evaluates daily activities that support successful clinical education/training at all VMFH campuses; identifies, within scope of position, opportunities to improve the efficiency of educational processes. 

Coordinates and supports the scheduling and setup of non-clinical and clinical training classes/events, including residencies, leadership/department meetings, FAIRE Day (Franciscan Annual Interdepartmental Regulatory Education) and onboarding classes (New Employee Orientation, SafetyFirst, clinical orientation, EPIC, WPV, etc.). 

Coordinates VMFH required education (e.g. BLS, ACLS, WPV) in accordance with established requirements; including RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) interpretive and assisted devices for BLS onsite at Harrison Medical Center, as applicable.

Qualifications:

Education/Work Experience Requirements:
Two years of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.

Job Knowledge/Abilities:
Knowledge of contemporary office practices, procedures and tools/equipment, including logistical planning and administrative support for training events and meetings.
Knowledge of Workplace Violence prevention standards/protocols sufficient to provide practical instruction and classroom training. 
Knowledge of the purpose, functionality and use of automated systems specific to the assigned work unit.
Knowledge of scheduling, tracking, recordkeeping/documentation requirements sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to understand and apply VMFH standards and guidelines applicable to assigned job duties.
Ability to address, troubleshoot and resolve (within scope of position) related issues and customer service concerns. 
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to provide excellent customer service. 
Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.

Licensure/Certification:
If hired for Workplace Violence prevention training, must complete assigned training within 90 days of hire.
