Clinical Coordinator responsibilities include assisting Manager in the following areas: overseeing Radiology modality daily operations and staff development; staff schedules; Kronos; organization and scheduling of affiliated student programs; quality improvement initiatives; training in new imaging technologies, guidelines and protocols; case review; data entry, statistical reporting and patient education. Works with referring provider offices to manage follow up imaging tests. Coordinates activities associated with and supports accreditation requirements. Acts as supervisor in the manager's absence. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities: 1. Establishes processes and standards that ensure consistent patient scheduling including follow up diagnostic studies 2. Coordinates patient letters and provides follow up phone calls to physician offices 3. Functions as a preceptor to staff. Assists the manager in development and delivery of staff education. Ensures staff competencies are current and up to date with new standards. 4. Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively. Provides accurate and consistent interpretation and application of Human Resource policies. 5. In coordination with modality Manager delivers coaching and corrective action as needed. 6. In coordination with modality Manager participates in the completion of employee performance 7. Assists manager with daily operations including clinical care, KRONOS, scheduling, accreditation. 8. Meets performance expectations for Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, and Staff and Self-Development as outlined in performance review. 9. Works on protocol optimization across the system. 10. Performs competencies and education as needed. 11. Acts as covering supervisor in the manager?s absence. 12. Assists as needed throughout delivery network. 13. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure modality operations. Qualifications: EDUCATION ARRT required. Bachelor Degree preferred EXPERIENCE Three years (3) experience in an acute care setting. Demonstration of potential for management and leadership by previous experience and education. LICENSURE Valid State of Connecticut Radiologic Technologist license SPECIAL SKILLS Demonstrate effective leadership skills. BLS certification required. Hospital and unit-based orientation provided. Leadership Development education provided
