Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator MAT is responsible for offering leadership and strategic direction for the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, overseeing its development, implementation, and management within their designated area. They play a crucial role in supervising the MAT initiative, ensuring its adherence to best practices, and promoting the delivery of high-quality care to individuals seeking medication-assisted treatment services. As a key figure in the healthcare team, they help drive the program's success and contribute to improving the overall well-being of patients battling substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, manage, and supervise the provision of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services within assigned facilities, fostering collaboration among a multidisciplinary team of medical providers, nursing, mental health professionals, psychiatry, and security staff.
* Collaborate with the Regional Office team to contribute to program design and MAT service expansion, including staffing and program development, while also ensuring clinical supervision, professional education, and staff development for on-site personnel.
* Direct clinical services according to licensure and scope of practice, overseeing healthcare staff training provided to other facility personnel.
* Assign clinical duties and responsibilities to healthcare staff based on their position descriptions, education, and professional expertise.
* Represent the corporation's interests to facility administrative staff and facilitate cooperation for the effective delivery of MAT services.
Qualifications:
Education
* Minimum of Independent Licensure with a Master's Degree in clinical/counseling psychology or social work from an accredited college or university or be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which employed.
* Other substance abuse certification would be desirable though not required.
Experience
* Experience in the coordination and administration of behavioral health or medical service delivery systems as well as knowledge and/or interest in the provision of integrated behavioral health/medical programming within a multidisciplinary framework.
* Professional experience in the behavioral health or medical field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, data collection and quality assurance.
* Experience successfully navigating a correctional healthcare setting in which there are multiple stakeholders and needs to consider while maintaining the patient's needs as the primary focus.
Licenses/Certifications
* Related certification may be applicable based on specific state requirements.
