Overview: UnityPoint Health Clinical Care Attendant Express Care - Waukee, IA Monday-Friday - 3 x 12 hour shifts and every 3rd weekend - Sat/Sun 8AM-8PM Full-time + benefits $5,000 sign on bonus offered to external candidates Responsibilities: The Clinical Care Attendant supports providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes patient intake, vital sign collection, performing point-of-care tests, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to checkout. The attendant acts as a key team member, facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff while maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: * Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history. * Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed. * Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls. * Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol. * Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively. * Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards. * Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Current Iowa certification as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA. * CPR/BLS certification required. * Clinical experience preferred. * Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with EHR systems preferred. * Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. * Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
