Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical CMA, LPN, or RN to join our family medicine team in Johnston, Iowa. This role is vital in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication and clinical skills, ready to support a wide variety of patient care duties under the direction of providers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.

* Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.

* Assist with minor procedures and examinations.

* Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.

* Accurately document in the electronic medical record (EMR).

* Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.

* Manage patient phone calls, prescription refills, and communication between patients and providers.

* Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and equipment.

* Support front office and clinical workflows to ensure a smooth patient experience.

* Follow all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications:

For Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):

* Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

* Active CMA certification required through one of the following organizations:

* AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)

* NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)

* AMT (American Medical Technologists - RMA)

* NHA (National Healthcareer Association)

For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

* Current Iowa LPN license in good standing.

For Registered Nurse (RN):

* Current Iowa RN license in good standing.

All Candidates Must Have:

* Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience in a clinical outpatient setting preferred.
