The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care including nurses, surgical technologist, surgeons, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA), support specialists, unit clerks, anesthesia techs, supply chain management, facilities and biomed. Job Summary: The clinical auditor performs clinical and operational audits as a means of verifying accuracy of information and compliance to established policies, practices, and regulations. Responsible for quality review of care process from physician order, registration, chart documentation, charging, and billing to reimbursement. Has collaborative relationship with revenue integrity advisors for root cause analysis and education of departments. The surgical unit itself has 17 rooms including the trauma room, a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR and a Cystoscopy room. We have two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology and thoracic specialties. Currently there are 17 different specialties provided here at SAH including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, cardiac, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, thoracic, and more. Our caseload for 2019 was 5,859 procedures in this unit alone. We have one specialized team for cardiac, all other employees are cross-trained for all remaining specialties allowing for increased knowledge base of surgical procedures, skill level and ability to cover any patient care needs. Qualifications: In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Education Requirements High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required Associate Degree Required Bachelor Degree Preferred Bachelors Degree/BSN preferred Minimum Experience Requirements 5 years direct patient care in a hospital setting RN experience highly preferred; although technical skills and medical experience may substitute. License/Certifications Requirements Registered Nurse Preferred State of employment RN license, preferred Physical Requirements Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
