				Overview:

CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a Level V Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Turtle Lake area and surrounding communities since 1952. Through the years, the hospital has sought to continually upgrade the quality and numbers of services it provides. The hospital's affiliation with major medical centers and health care agencies has allowed it to expand its health care services through a network that begins at the local level. CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is equipped with 2 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services. Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed programs, and acute care services. 

Responsibilities:
 Seeking Clinic RN/LPN for Washburn and Turtle Lake Clinics 
The nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care in the clinic under the direction of the medical provider.  Assists medical provider in clinical duties, ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care and knowledge promoting patient wellness.  Function according to State Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Policies & Procedures.  All the criteria-based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to the policies, procedures, guidelines, Mission and Philosophy of the Turtle Lake Clinic. 

* Shows sufficient and ongoing knowledge of clinical wide safety practices and those that directly relate to his/her responsibilities.  Completes nursing assessment of patient, preparing patient for exam according to physician preference and unit specific protocol.  Evaluates and documents the patient's response to care received.  Using nursing process, implements age specific Plan of Care utilizing individual knowledge, medical provider orders and standards of care.
* Demonstrates ability and knowledge in performing unit skills.  Utilizes non-clerical work hours in promotion of quality care.  Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates a variety of routine and special projects.  Demonstrates leadership and professionalism by maintaining professional standards, participating in in-service/committees and individual professional growth.  
* Contributes to the nursing assessment of patient. Practices as team member in delivery of care.  Assessment data collected is recorded and reported.  Identifies signs and symptoms of deviations from normal health status in order for establishment of a nursing diagnosis.
* Demonstrates understanding of ethical and legal aspects of health care.
* Assists other nursing and support staff to maintain provision of quality patient care.

Qualifications:

ND State Board of Nursing current RN or LPN License. (Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.  Graduate Nurse (G.N.) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid.)

Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum of one year hospital experience or clinic experience preferred.
