				Overview:

Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports  Medicine  Ballanytne  is seeking an Athletic Trainer. The ATC serves as part of the rehabilitation care team and as an expert in developing and implementing developmental performance plans to bridge formal rehabilitation and client activity goals.

The performance clinic athletic trainer is responsible for being a part of the performance team with coaching groups of athletes, adults and individuals to reach their highest levels in preparation for competition and life. Promote Novant Health within own entity as well as through community outreach initiatives and serve as an integral part of the healthcare delivery team.

Responsibilities:

* Serves as part of the rehabilitation care team and as an expert in developing and implementing developmental performance plans to bridge formal rehabilitation and client activity goals. The performance clinic athletic trainer is responsible for being a part of the performance team with coaching groups of athletes, adults and individuals to reach their highest levels in preparation for competition and life. Promote Novant Health within own entity as well as through community outreach initiatives and serve as an integral part of the healthcare delivery team.
* Document all aspects of treatment progression, testing appropriately within the EMR. Triage patient messages, phone calls and questions appropriately, whether it is resolving issue within the scope of practice or utilizing therapist, or other ancillary staff as needed to resolve question. Manage EMR communication in a timely manner and communicates both delays, and results/subsequent plan of care in a courteous, efficient, and patient-appropriate manner. Respond to problems/opportunities to improve patient care & customer service. Serve as preceptor to undergraduate athletic training student interns.

Qualifications:

* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors' degree in athletic training or equivalent from a CAATE accredited program, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.

* Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a certified athletic trainer having participated in various administrative, educational or medical support services; required. Physician extender background and experience with an electronic medical record, preferred. 
* Licensure/Certification: NATABOC Certification (National Athletic Trainers Association-Board of Certification), required. 

* Additional skills required: Excellent written and communication skills. Must be able to work within multidisciplinary team.
