Responsibilities:

As a Clinic Clerk, you will be the welcoming face and organizational hub of our clinic, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every patient.

Every day, you will expertly manage patient registration and scheduling, efficiently process patient flow, address billing inquiries, and provide essential clerical support. You'll maintain strict confidentiality, handle financial transactions securely, and remain vigilant for any patient needs, all while contributing to a smooth, on-schedule operation.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive ability to manage a fast-paced environment while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and efficiency.

* Schedules patient appointments which includes initial, recheck and pre-ops. Updates schedule changes and performs necessary rescheduling of patients and prints and distributes daily clinic schedule. Provides clerical support for outgoing and incoming referrals for patients as requested.
* Maintains medical records which includes requesting records as needed, filing and retrieving records, documents and correspondence in a timely manner
* Contacts and reschedules clients that have not shown up for their appointment via phone or letter, and gives chart to the Practitioner for follow up review
* Answers telephones which includes routing incoming calls, as appropriate, and documenting accurately telephone messages for clinicians
* Provides referrals and assistance as needed to complete the application process to external agencies and/or third party vendors which provide financial assistance for medical care through various government and private programs
* Follows computer system and departmental operational procedures and training guidelines to obtain accurate demographic and insurance information on each registration, as monitored by established procedures

Required

* One year recent outpatient medical clinic clerical experience
