				Overview:

Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2026 at our Denver, CO office. The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2026. 

We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September - October 2025. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.

Responsibilities:

The summer internship will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of civil engineering. The intern will be exposed to a variety of engineering tasks in the field of water and wastewater design, including the preparation of drawings and details, process models, cost estimates, operations and maintenance manuals, study and design reports, and other work products.

The intern will gain experience in collaborating with other disciplines, interfacing with clients and contractors, following schedules and budget commitments, working independently, communicating, and problem solving.

Qualifications:

* Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible.
* Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Environment Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. 
* Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school.
* Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality. 
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
