We are in search of:

Citrix & VMware VDI Engineer

team: Services SoftwareOne | pensum: full time

location: Bulgaria | working model: hybrid | traveling: no

 The role's daily focus involves working within the client's ITSM system and following ITIL processes to run IT infrastructure efficiently.

You will be engaged with incident handling, change and service request processing, problem resolution, and system maintenance as part of a managed service.

Responsibilities:
* Operate IT structures as outlined in the client's Architecture and Technical Description document and Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and problem resolution within the customer's ITSM.
* Perform housekeeping activities to ensure system stability and security and Maintain and optimize Citrix and VMware environments for high availability and performance.
* Solve technical issues related to Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway.
* Configure and manage VMware vSphere, Horizon, vSAN, and NSX and Implement and run backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam).
* Configure and optimize networking components related to Citrix and VMware, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
* Automate system tasks using PowerShell or Python; experience with Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
* Monitor and analyze system performance using tools like Citrix Director and VMware vRealize Operations and Maintain comprehensive documentation of system changes, configurations, and fix procedures.

Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills:
        Citrix Expertise:

* Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp & XenDesktop); Citrix StoreFront & Citrix Gateway (NetScaler); Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) & Machine Creation Services (MCS)
* Profile Management and Performance Tuning

        VMware Expertise:

* VMware vSphere (ESXi & Center); VMware/Omnissa Horizon (VDI environments)
* vSAN and NSX knowledge (preferred); Backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam)

      Networking Knowledge:

* TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls & Load balancing (Citrix ADC/NetScaler)
* Network segmentation and security

      Scripting & Automation:

* PowerShell or Python scripting
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus

       Monitoring & Performance Management:

* Citrix Director & VMware vRealize Operations
Soft Skills:
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to tackle and resolve complex technical issues.
* Communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients and IT teams.
* Customer Orientation: Passionate about meeting SLA requirements and ensuring customer happiness.
* Documentation: Ability to build and maintain well-structured system documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications, e.g., Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and ITIL Certification are considered an advantage
