Novant Health is seeking a Child Care Teacher Assistant who will be responsible for assisting in the classrooms with the overall functions in a providing a warm, safe and nurturing learning experience while communicating the goals, guidelines, and standards of the center.

Qualifications:
* Education: High School or GED Required. Credentials EDU119 or equivalency as defined by DHHS Education Workforce Preferred..
* Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: NC CDL License. CPR/First Aid (American Red Cross/American Heart) within 2 months of hire. ITS SIDS within 2 months of hire for those working with children up to 2 years of age. BSAC (Basic School Age) for those working with school age children. DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background letter. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.
* Additional Skills Required:
* DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter.
* BSAC required for those working with school age children.
* ITS SIDS training within two months of hire if working with children under the age of two.
* CPR/First Aid completion within 2 months of hire.
* Maintain training hours requirements as outlined for substitutes by regulatory compliance.
* Additional Skills Preferred: The ability to work a variety of work schedules and to work effectively in all classrooms within the centers.
