Qualifications:

* Education: Associates Degree Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred  Associates degree in Early Childhood Education (related field) or Associates degree with a Certificate in Early Childhood Education (12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education), required. Graduation from a four-year program in the area of child development or early childhood education, preferred.
* Experience: Minimum two years verifiable experience in a child care center. Required
* Licensure/Certification/Registration: NCECC (EDU119) Required CDL License Preferred Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096
* Additional Skills Required: DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter and DHHS NC Division of Child Development approved training hours as outlined for the department. ITS SIDS for teachers who work in classrooms with children ages two and under required within two months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. BSAC required for those working with school age children. All staff required to have SIDS training within two months of hire.
* Additional Skills Preferred: Playground safety certification.
