Join Our Team as a Child Care Lead Teacher II

Location: The Learning Place at Thomasville Medical Center

Hours: Part-Time | Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 6:45pm

Important Application Information:

* Candidates must provide proof of DHHS Background Determination and Workforce/Status letters during the application process.

Responsibilities:

* Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing learning experience that supports each child's unique development
* Uphold the center's goals, guidelines, and high standards of care
* Ensure full compliance with North Carolina Division of Child Development regulations and Health Department sanitation requirements
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children, families, and team members feel valued and supported

Qualifications:

* Education: AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Education unit, required.
* Experience: Minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age, required.
* Licensure/Certification:
* NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required.
* Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
* ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire (infants up to 12 months of age)of age), required.

* Additional Skills (required):
* DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 5 years), and Workforce letter (within 60 days of hire) or education verification until workforce letter is obtain.
* Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
* BSAC required for those working with school age children. CDL for school age if driving the buses.  NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter   NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire   NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire
* CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.
* Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development

* Additional Skills (preferred): Playground Safety training
