Responsibilities:
The Child Activities Assistant will provide developmentally appropriate play, stimulation, and comfort to infants, children, and adolescents based on assessed individual and group needs.
The Child Activities Assistant will maintain a clean and safe play environment and will keep supplies and storage areas organized.
Responsibilities:
* Distributes toys, games, movies, and other activities to pediatric patients; interacts with patients in the playroom or at bedside at a developmentally appropriate level
* Cleans used/soiled toys daily according to policy; maintains a clean and safe environment in the playroom by checking toys and equipment for safe and proper functioning; records cleaning in daily logs
* Oversees use and maintenance of electronic gaming equipment in the playroom and patient rooms
* Organizes and maintains toys, supplies, and equipment in storage areas; distributes in-kind donations to patients as needed
* Documents activities and services provided within the patient's electronic health record
* Delegates appropriate duties to volunteers as needed
