Overview: Responsibilities: The Chief Resident mediates between Residents and Program Directors and Faculty members, helping Management understand core needs of Residents for effective and more efficient performance. The Chief Resident contributes to policy, improves Residency curricula, and provides valuable insights to enhance Resident education. Qualifications: Minimum Qualification: One of the following: * MD degree * DO degree Graduate of 3-year ACGME accredited Categorical IM Residency Program Proficient in word processing and PC based spreadsheet programs Knowledge of Epic Well-developed interpersonal skills and communications skills, both oral and written Thorough knowledge of policies and regulations governing healthcare institutions and medical staff by-law License, Registration, Certification: BLS ACLS Licensed Physician in the State of Alabama Active registry in good standing by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
