About Us: Our International School opened in 2001, and now is a collection of primary school and secondary education which includes full-time boarding. We have 2,300 students and more than 300 staff who come from 23 provinces and district cities. The school covers 140 Chinese acres, with 56,000 square meters floor space, which includes separate middle school and primary campuses. Each campus consists of a teaching building, office, laboratory, auditorium, gymnasium, swimming pool, restaurant, dormitories and teachers' apartments. We use modern teaching and office equipment including electronic "smart" boards. Our outdoors facilities include a soccer pitch, basketball court, and abundant green spaces and natural areas. We are seeking professional teachers to join our school and international students from all over the world! About Tangshan City: Tangshan is known as "Phoenix City" because of the local's powerful sense of community and strength after an earthquake occurred 50 years ago. Since then, the city has completely rebuilt itself into a tourist destination using its natural beauty and lengthy history as focus points Tangshan is a city known for its historical significance & culture. Located close to the coast, it is a unique place with sea and land influences. There are many beautiful parks in the city and larger scenic areas like the Great Wall are close by. Other sites like the Jingjue Temple, Thousand Buddha Mountains and South Lake Park are worth exploring. Lifestyle amenities are similar to that of modern cities around the world. Cinemas, restaurants, spas, bowling alleys, football fields, badminton courts & gyms are all available. In addition, there are many bars and KTV parlors for people to relax and spend free time. The restaurant scene is varied with everything from traditional Chinese dining rooms to western fast food available. Job Description: Job Title: Chemistry / Natural Sciences Teacher Responsibilities: *Teach classes of approx. 25 students (age 16-19, intermediate English level) *40 classes weekly (45 minutes each) *Teaching oral English, preparing class activities, preparing oral exams for students *School provided curriculum *Monday - Friday (weekends off) Requirements: *Native English speaker from United States, Canada, UK or Australia *24-50 years old (to meet work visa age restrictions) *Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject *Two years teaching experience *TEFL/TESOL certification *A clean criminal record *Excellent physical and mental health *Must be able to commit to a one-year contract *Must be able to begin the position before September 1, 2015.
