The Siena Campus, a 326-bed acute care hospital opened in 2000, expanded the services of the Rose de Lima Campus to meet growing healthcare needs. Responsibilities: As our Surgical Tech, you'll be an integral surgical team member, providing skilled assistance for safe, efficient procedures critical to patient outcomes. Every day you will prepare the OR (instruments, equipment, supplies) and assist surgeons/nurses by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining the sterile field. You'll count items, handle specimens, assist with patient positioning, and adhere strictly to aseptic technique. To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and a steadfast commitment to patient safety are essential. Qualifications: Minimum: * Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program to include certification. Surgical Technology training - Earns 15 units of continued education every year as required by NBSTSA. * One year recent full time experience in an acute care facility as a certified surgical technologist. May consider any experience in an ASC where procedures are performed that have thesame acuity level or level of complexity as an acute care facility. * Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) N/A upon hire Required or * Technologist in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) N/A upon hire Required and * Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) Preferred: * One year recent fulltime experience in an acute care facility as a certified surgical technologist, to include experience with trauma and open heart
