A surgical tech or SPD role is not just an opportunity to be a difference-maker, it's the chance to harness the knowledge, support and potential that surrounds you. As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will: * Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. * Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. * Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. **Previous Scrub experience in Hospital OR Required ** Day to Day duties: * Scrub on all cases. GEN, Ortho, Spine, Urology, ENT. Robotics assisted (DaVinci SI/ MAKO) Ortho cases (total Knee/ Hip replacement). * Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams. * Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. * Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases. * Maintain Sterile field during procedures. * Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs. * Maintaining and updating preference cards. 8 OR Suites Approx. 180-200+ cases per month Schedule: 36hrs/ week- variable shifts and days of the week per surgical volume and current unit needs. TBD during interview with OR manager. Call is required for most positions. Variable per needs/ surgical volume of unit. Call in rotation with team. 30Min callback radius required Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * Basic Computer skills required. * One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred. * Experience in a specialty field preferred. * HS Diploma/GED required * Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required * BLS from the American Heart Association required * Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required * Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
