Overview: As our Surgical Tech at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can't operate without you. The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. Responsibilities: As our Surgical Tech, you'll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can't operate without you. The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. * * Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization * Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you'll be supporting * Adapt to the needs of emergency situations * Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient #hellosurgicaltechs Qualifications: Required Education: * Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program Required Licensure and Certifications: * NBSTSA or NCCT * Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. * Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment. PREFERRED Qualifications: * One year perioperative services experience preferred
