Overview: Certified Pharmacy Tech UnityPoint - Allen Hospital Full Time; 32 Hours Per Week; 8 hour shifts, mix of day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends. Eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus! The Certified Pharmacy Technician is accountable for facilitating responsible provision of pharmacy services through the performance of hospital pharmacy functions, such as the preparation and delivery of medications to nursing and/or ancillary departments under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities: * Participates in Tech Product Verification, completes Omnicell rounds, and monitors/maintains automated dispensing systems. * Prepares and compounds sterile and non-sterile medications according to USP standards and performs reconstitutions as required. * Completes accurate medication history reconciliations and supports medication preparation and delivery to nursing and ancillary units. * Fills unit dose medications, operating room and anesthesia machine medications, and manages narcotic pulls and deliveries. * Performs monthly nursing unit checks, outdate reviews, and restocks crash carts, kits, and stroke boxes. * Processes floor stock orders, refill requests, admission/discharge/transfer labels, and assists with inventory and wholesaler ordering. * Maintains quality and safety standards by documenting refrigerator temperatures, answering/triaging calls, and troubleshooting Omnicell equipment. Qualifications: * Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician * Ability to read, write, and speak English. * Knowledge of the departments policies and guidelines
