As our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help patients recovering from illness or injury to regain their functional independence and improve their quality of life. 

Every day, you will work with patients to help them develop and improve their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and activities of daily living. You will be expected to assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and communicating with the interdisciplinary team. 

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

* Provide treatments to patients focusing on increasing range of motion, strengthening, and maintaining balance during daily activities
* Recommend adaptive equipment and customize it as needed
* Document all  treatments, and any changes to the treatment plan
* Seek help when needed; provide support when others request it - this can include assistance with tasks, advice, mentoring, or help to obtain additional specialty certifications if you're interested.
* Maintain a friendly and upbeat attitude to motivate our patients to do their best.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program
* Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant License
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider

Preferred: 

* One year of experience as a COTA in an inpatient rehab setting.
