Overview: UnityPoint Clinics Certified Medical Assistant Full-time + benefits $5,000 sign-on bonus for external hires Current Openings: Colorectal Surgery - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM East Des Moines Family Medicine - Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM Ingersoll Family Medicine - Monday-Friday 7AM-5:30PM - FRIDAYS OFF Waukee Med Park LAB - Monday-Friday 7:45AM-5PM Mills Civic Family Medicine - 4 days/week 7:30AM-5PM + 1/2 day OR 7AM-5:30PM - 4 days/week Penn Ave Cardiology - Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM EP Methodist Cardiology - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Lakeview Family Medicine - Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM Walnut Creek Pediatrics - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM + weekend rotation every ~12 weeks Lakeview Pediatrics - Monday-Friday Hours between 7AM-5PM - one half day + weekend rotation every ~12 weeks Ankeny Pediatrics - Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM - TUESDAY OFF Responsibilities: We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education. * Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures * Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) * Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure * Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care * Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups * Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment Qualifications: * Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting * Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA) * Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred * Familiarity with EPIC a plus! #UPC123
