Overview: UnityPoint Clinics Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) $5,000 sign on bonus Fam Med Waterloo, IA *Float position. Primary location Prairie Parkway Family Medicine, secondary location Prairie Parkway Internal Medicine and UMP Internal Medicine. 1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, Daytime Hours within Clinic Hours Are you a passionate CMA looking for a dynamic and supportive clinic to join? Responsibilities: * Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and reason for visit * Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments including pap smears, pelvic exams, and prenatal visits * Administer injections and medications as directed * Perform basic lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing * Provide patient education and instructions for follow-up care * Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) * Support a positive, team-focused clinic culture Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants. * Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT (RMA) certification * Meets educational/competency requirements per policy. * Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred. * Computer data entry experience. * Mandatory Reporter certification. * CPR certification. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Strong computer skills. * Ability to work as a team member. * Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures * Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred #upc123
