Novant Health Pediatrics Mint Hill is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends or holidays

The role of the Certified Medical Assistant is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.  

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include:

* Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
* Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
* Perform clinical observations and report any concerns to medical staff
* Document patient information accurately in charts, including medical histories and medications
* Assist with administering injections as directed by providers
* Perform basic bloodwork and specimen collection
* Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records
* Support overall clinical workflow to ensure efficient patient care

Qualifications:

* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

*  Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: 
*  CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) 
*  CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) 
*  RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) 
*  American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) 
*  National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) 
*  National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) 
*  American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.

* Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
* Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
