Responsibilities:
* Perform and document patient intake, including vital signs and medical history
* Prepare patients and charts for provider visits
* Assist providers with OBGYN exams, procedures, and treatments within scope
* Administer medications and immunizations as ordered
* Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and in-office lab testing
* Track and report lab results; complete required quality control documentation
* Accurately document care and code visits, labs, and procedures in the EMR
* Support referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out as needed
* Reinforce patient education and self-care instructions using clear language
* Collaborate with providers and team members to improve workflows and patient experience
* Maintain required competencies, certifications, and ongoing education
* A patient-focused CMA passionate about women's health
* Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented OBGYN clinic

Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:
* CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
* CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
* RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
* American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
* National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
* National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
* American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required
Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
