Certified Medical Assistant - Endocrinology Clinic

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Endocrinology - Cedar Rapids, IA 

Full-time Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

As a CMA in Endocrinology, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders. Your role will involve direct patient care, education, and coordination of services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Perform patient assessments and assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

* Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.

* Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources.

* Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
* Current CMA/RMA Certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCT.
*  High school diploma.
* BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
* Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
* A positive and team-oriented attitude.
* Ability to assist providers in professional manner.
