What you can expect from this role:
* Flexible schedule with four, 9-hour shifts per week, allowing for a strong work-life balance.
* Monday through Friday schedule-no weekends required.
* Join a collaborative team in our family medicine and dermatology clinics located in the scenic Wood River Valley.
* Work primarily in our Ketchum clinic with one shift per week in Hailey.
* Deliver high-quality, compassionate care and patient education in partnership with providers and clinical staff.
* Build lasting relationships with patients and their families, supporting them in managing their health and wellness.
CMA Qualifications
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications
* Current BLS-CPR Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Current recognized national certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following:
* NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)
* NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals)
* AMT (American Medical Technologists)
* AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
* AMCA (American Medical Certification Association)
* NHA (National Healthcare Association)
Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant 2 is responsible for assisting licensed providers with patient care. Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training. Works within established policies and procedures.
* Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
* Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment.
* Prepares patients for examination.
* Provides technical, clinical, and clerical support to licensed independent provider.
* Performs medical procedures within scope of roles and responsibilities.
* Processes prescription medication for refill under the supervision of a licensed independent provider.
* Assists licensed independent provider in patient exams and office procedures.
* Prepares basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens.
* Enters diagnostic or medication orders under the direction of a licensed independent provider.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Experience: 0 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
