Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Central Service Distribution Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families. This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Central Service Department, under the direction of the Central Service Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* One year of storeroom or shipping experience or CSR distribution experience required; however, the experience requirement is waived for individuals who have completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
* Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training.
* Knowledge of linen principles desired.
* Familiarity with various Materials Management systems.
* Basic computer skills. i.e. Data entry, e-mail, and handhelds.
* Must have a valid California driver's license
