Responsibilities:

The Manager-Central Accounting is responsible for the centralized accounting processes of the managed properties. The position is responsible for ensuring proper functioning of the department through direct oversight and development implementation and monitoring of appropriate policies and procedures

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required with at least 5 years in public accounting and/or accounting management preferably in the hospitality or real estate industry.
* Certified Public Accountant preferred.
* Requires extensive knowledge of all areas of hotel accounting and finance.
* Strong leadership coordination and coaching skills.
* Requires thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Strong computer skills.
* Strong communication and interviewing skills.
* Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong critical thinking/analytical ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supervises daily and period-closing activities and provide guidance to Staff Accountants during the process:
* Reviews and approves bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
* Oversees resolution of accounting discrepancies and issues
* Reviews and approves property financial reports and analysis
* Ensures the completeness and accuracy of financial statements through review and ensuring monthly closing steps have been performed completely and accurately
* Finalizes management and owner reports for the investor reporting function
* Develops and maintains accounting policies and procedures and systems of internal control for each Central Accounting functional area.
* Establishes and maintains relationships with Aimbridge Regional Managers including all interactions processes and workflow necessary to ensure that property-level financial results are accurately communicated.
* Oversees relationships with Central Accounting internal clients including Corporate and Shared Services.
* Oversees relationships between property general managers and Staff Accountants to ensure information is provided timely and accurately in both directions.
* Coordinates responses to internal and external audit groups.
* Oversees distribution of responsibilities and performance of Staff Accountants.
* Continually assesses the scope quality and efficiency of services provided to internal stakeholders Property GMs Regional Managers and Owners.
* Oversees property onboarding and off-boarding protocols.
* Participates in meetings and on committees as requested by supervisors.
* Develops and maintains appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to aid in financial statement analysis and understanding.
* Supervises the financial and operating performance of the Aimbridge Central Accounting department and prepare annual goals objectives and strategies for the department.
* Oversees annual staff performance assessment.
* Oversees staff development ensuring training checklists are fully utilized and updated as needed.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
* Performs bi-annual review of Central Accounting systems of record to ensure appropriateness of end-user permissions and roles.
* Oversees implementation and adherence to Aimbridge document management and retention policies.
* Adheres to the policies outlined in the Aimbridge Employee Handbook.
