Responsibilities: At Gulfport Job Corps Center (located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast), nursing is more than clinical care - it's about shaping futures and changing lives. Our Registered Nurses support students ages 16-24 as they build independence, learn healthy habits, and prepare for their futures. This Monday-Friday daytime position offers a meaningful alternative to hospital shift work and the opportunity to play a vital part in a young adult's journey toward success. Every time a student succeeds, the ripple effect reaches far beyond our campus - touching families, workplaces, and communities. Qualifications: Essential Duties & Job Functions: As the Campus Clinic Nurse (RN), you'll support the health and wellness of students by: * Assessing and triaging students who report to the Campus Wellness Clinic * Providing care for illness or minor injury using standard nursing protocols * Administering medications as prescribed * Assisting physicians with exams and follow-up care * Tracking immunizations and health compliance requirements * Maintaining student medical records * Teaching students about wellness, self-care, and healthy lifestyle choices * Maintaining medication and medical supply inventory * Supporting emergency response when needed You may be a great fit if you're: * A nurse (RN) with experience in school health, public health, community clinics, correctional or juvenile justice health, or military/VA healthcare * A nurse who enjoys working with young adults and supporting their growth toward independence * A nurse interested in health education, prevention, and wellness * A nurse seeking a predictable Monday-Friday daytime schedule and a lower-stress alternative to hospital shift work * A nurse who values mission-driven work and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact to their community
