Cath Lab Tech ( Respiratory Therapist, EMT-P, ARRT, Surgical Tech)

				Overview:

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for cardiovascular patients according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

One of the following:

* Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program
* Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Technician Program
* Graduate from a Surgical Technology program
* Graduate from a Cardiovascular Technology program

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLS

One of the following:

ARRT: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography

OR

Respiratory Therapist: Registered as RRT by National Board for Respiratory care (NBRC) for Respiratory Therapists

OR

Surgical Tech: 

One of the following:

* Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
* Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

OR

Cardiovascular Tech: Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
