Position Summary: 

Coordinates the activities of the Circulatory Support Services, which Responsible for the implementation and  maintenance of Mechanical Circulatory Support systems and Performs hemodynamic parameters per MD orders.  Coordinates training of new and existing department personnel. Communicates critical information to the departmental  staff, Assistant Director and Director as necessary. 

Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities: 

* Assists the Assistant Director and Director with personnel action, hiring, and maintaining adequate staffing.
* Provides data regarding work volume and equipment status for preparation of the department budget.
* Ensures proper billing for department services and Oversees the processing of equipment charges on patient bills. 
* Communicates with vendors and appropriate hospital staff to maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies.
* When required, Provides technical support for all investigational and non‐investigational mechanical circulatory support systems. Reports equipment problems to the department Assistant Director and Director and the manufacturer  as appropriate. Follows problem analysis and reports as necessary to others.
* Responds to all departmental needs daily and at all hours. Provides technical support to patients when needed.
* Gives recommendations to research staff on the care and maintenance of investigational MCS systems.
* Actively trains new personnel by providing detailed instruction on all departmental procedures. Ensures proper  documentation files of all departmental training activities.  

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: 

Education and Licensure: 

* Bachelor's Degree  ‐OR‐ equivalent cardiovascular experience 
* Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)  

Minimum Experience: 

* Five (5) years of experience in clinical field
