Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations of the Cardiovascular program in accordance with facility policies, service line objectives, and clinical standards. Accountable for program accreditation and/or certification by regulatory bodies.
The role of the RN Cardiovascular Coordinator is integral within the cardiovascular data department. Responsibilities and duties are centered on data management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, strong organization skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
* The individual is responsible for ensuring high standards of data integrity through accurate data management, maintaining databases and medical statical information, as well as processing reports within Cardiac Services.
* Responsible for data overview in accordance with NCDR guidelines while ensuring compliance with national standards.
* Provide support to enhance program excellence and operational efficiency.
* Will contribute in the development of processes related to quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements associated with cardiovascular procedures.
* Serve as a resource to Service Line Leadership.
* Undertake special projects as assigned to support departmental objectives.
* Collaborate with personnel across different departments to facilitate seamless operations and informational flow.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
* Five years experience in acute care
* Two years nursing experience in cardiovascular
* Experience with program coordination
* Requires advance knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements
* California RN license
* American Heart Association BLS
Preferred:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
* Master's Degree preferred
* Previous leadership experience preferred
* Experience with data analysis and performance improvement
