Responsibilities:
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Center for Cardiovascular Health in Silverdale, Washington is hiring a per diem Interventional Cardiologist at the state-of-the-art St. Michael Medical Center in Washington.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team recognized for excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes for patients throughout the Puget Sound, Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic Peninsula. Physicians are attracted to the area because of the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and great year-round outdoor activities.
There are a total of fourteen Cardiologists and thirteen advanced practice practitioners; four interventional cardiologists, a structural cardiologist, three electrophysiologists, an advanced cardiac imager specializing in cardiac MRI, and an advanced heart failure cardiologist. This cardiovascular service line has been recognized by the American Heart Association with multiple gold and platinum awards. The American Thoracic Surgeons has awarded our cardiac surgeons with multiple 3 star awards over the history of the program. The hospital has some of the highest PCI volumes in the state and is a leader in the state for quality and outcomes. There is a robust structural heart program with TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion. The local service line is complemented with two cardiothoracic surgeons, four cardiac anesthesiologists, three vascular surgeons, and thoracic surgery. Furthermore, our service line extends across a 11 hospital system with three tertiary centers, and is home to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Cardiovascular Fellowship program.
Qualifications:
* BC/BE; American Board of Cardiology.
* Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority required for the specific practice.
* BLS required
