Responsibilities:

As a per diem Interventional Cardiologist, you will join our dynamic, award winning Cardiovascular Team at our Federal Way and Auburn clinic locations. We are recognized for exceptional patient care and outcomes throughout the Puget Sound area. Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, licensed, and compassionate physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. Opportunity Highlights:

* Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at VMFH encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1100 open heart surgeries, 2400 PCIs and 2000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1500 beds and 8 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
* Position Details: Cover cath lab, primarily for primary PCI and ad hoc PCI for ACS patients at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. This includes patients already in the hospital or those transferred from other facilities. Coverage may include scheduled outpatients who may need outpatient cath/PCI. Provide general and interventional cardiology backup for other general cardiologists during primary and back up call.
* Call: The anticipated call frequency is 1:4 for interventional cardiology and 1:8 for general cardiology. Procedures include cardiac caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, and TVP. 
* Team based approach: Our team focuses on providing appropriate, compassionate, and state-of-the art medical care for our patients. Our clinicians comprise a dedicated and collaborative team that support each other and work together to create a positive work environment.

* Compensation: $261.00/hour. Call compensation; $1025.00 per 24 hour call.

Qualifications:

Required

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
* BC/BE; ABIM in Cardiovascular Disease
* Unrestricted active Washington State Medical License or eligible to obtain
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority required for the specific practice
* BLS and ACLS
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Commitment to excellent patient care, collaborative, team based care and long-term community engagement. 

Preferred

* 2+ years cardiology experience
