Overview: The Advanced Practice Nurse performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Works collaboratively with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. 24/7 Coverage model for Cardiac Care ICU at JSUMC. The Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards. Position Details * 24/7 Flex Coverage for Cardiac Care Inpatient Unit * Flexible shifts (12-13 hrs or 8 hours) * Full Time (40 hrs/week) * Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistants can apply! Qualifications: * New Jersey PA or APN license * Successful completion of an approved physicians assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing * MSN with Advanced Practice Nurse credentials * Demonstrates effective communication and leadership skills including teaching principles, organizational and presentation skills * Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
