Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of excellence in patient care through assessing and formulating a nursing
diagnosis and establishing goals, planning and implementing interventions, and evaluating patient care
outcomes. Responsible to supervise and to prescribe exercise for patients enrolled in the Cardiac Phase I,
II, & III programs. Serves as clinical lead for care and treatment of medical emergency situations within
the cardiopulmonary department. Exercises independent judgment and decision making within the
limitations and scope of practice. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains
positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in
support of CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial Mission & Vision.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
* Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma from an accredited nursing program
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to the State of Texas
* Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtained within 90 days of hire date
* ECG/EKG interpretation skills
