Responsibilities:

Uses outstanding customer service skills to schedule surgical procedures, perform pre-admission patient consultations and insurance authorizations. Utilizes software applications, and/or other supporting systems or documentation to ensure scheduling accuracy and expediency

Qualifications:
Minimum
*  One-year prior front office or clerical experience required

* High school graduate or GED
*  Ability to organize work so that productivity and effectiveness are maximized 

*  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service 

*  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 

*  Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows 

*  Basic proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). 

Preferred
*  One-year surgical scheduling experience 

*  Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience; Cerner strongly preferred
