Project Summary: The anticipated USAID-funded Guatemala Civil Society and Anticorruption Activity aims to strengthen civil society's role in promoting transparency, accountability, and effective governance. The activity will focus on fostering civic engagement, enhancing the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) to advocate for reforms, and supporting initiatives that combat corruption and promote good governance. 

  

Position Summary: Creative Associates seeks technical experts for the anticipated USAID-funded Guatemala Civil Society and Anticorruption Activity. The experts will provide technical support in various areas related to civil society strengthening, transparency, accountability, and anticorruption initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:  

* Provide technical expertise in areas related to civil society strengthening, transparency, accountability, and anticorruption initiatives. 

* Engage with project stakeholders, including government officials, CSOs, and other partners, to ensure effective coordination and implementation of project activities. 

* Contribute to the design and implementation of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and USAID requirements. 

* Support the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and impact. 

* Provide technical support for policy advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and anticorruption measures. 

* Design and conduct training sessions and workshops for CSOs, government officials, and other stakeholders. 

* Promote knowledge sharing and best practices in civil society strengthening and anticorruption initiatives. 

* Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

* Advanced degree in political science, public administration, law, international development, or a related field. 

* Minimum 7 years of experience in civil society strengthening, transparency, accountability, and anticorruption initiatives. 

* Demonstrated experience in capacity building for civil society organizations (CSOs). 

* Knowledge of relevant USAID policies and strategies, including USAID's Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Strategy, Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy, and Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting Framework. 

* Experience in and commitment to advancing equity and inclusion of women, youth, and other underrepresented and marginalized groups. 

* Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with government officials, civil society organizations, private sector actors, implementing partners, international donors, and other stakeholders. 

* Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

* Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. 

* Experience in civil society and anticorruption initiatives in Guatemala is highly preferred. 

* Fluency in English required. Professional fluency in written and spoken Spanish is required.
