Overview:
Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI Mercy Health Valley City. As our CT Technologist, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. If you're looking for variety and work flexibility with hours, this position is for you!
Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations. You'll perform x-ray imaging, DEXA scans, operate a C-arm for Surgical/Pain cases, and CT once trained (if applicable) to assist in diagnosis and treatment. No CT experience, no problem! We are willing to train!
To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You have demonstrated the ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion. You're self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments.

Responsibilities:
* Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
* Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
* Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
* Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
* Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
* Is responsible to participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus and system quality improvement projects, the ACR accreditation process, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and State
* Regulations as they apply to staff's license or certifications. Be familiar with the requirements of CMS and Joint Commission and be able to speak to all department processes around quality and environment of care.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of a Radiology Technology program or graduate of a post-secondary allied health profession program.
* ARRT
* NDMIRT
* American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Valid CT Tech
