What You Can Expect:

* Schedule: 7am-7pm Saturday-Monday *special weekend shift pay differential included! 
* Consideration of 4, 10-hour shifts with rotation weekends (approximately 1 every 6 weeks) if weekend only shift isn't desirable. 

* No on call required! 
* Approximately 10.20 procedures per day with no interventional 
* Siemens Somatom Definition AS equipment
*  Luke's Wood River is a Critical Access Hospital nestled within a resort community filled with high recreation. The Medical Imaging team prides themselves on a uniquely collaborative relationship between providers and technologists with open, free communication with Radiologists and in-house providers.  

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
* Computed Tomographic (CT) certification.

Responsibilities:

The Radiologic Technologist 3 is responsible for providing technical/clinical support to the Imaging Department. Operates x-ray equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes. Prepares and assists patients during radiological exams and testing. Prepares and maintains radiographic records.

* Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and nurses that are specific to the exam being performed in order to assist the provider in the proper diagnosis.
* Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient. Consult provider as needed.
* Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required.
* Perform daily equipment inspections. Participate in call rotation as needed.
* Operate the fluoroscopy/C Arm room without supervision.
* Assist provider during invasive procedures.
* Performs the most advanced tasks with no supervision. Subject matter expert in medical imaging.
* Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of staffing resources and operations.
* Oversee general operation of assigned department including staffing. Lead and mentor others, acting as the first point of escalation. Provide peer -review feedback and maintain competencies of staff. May perform quality control.
* Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
