What You Can Expect:

* Available Schedules: 
* Full time: Friday-Sunday: 11am-11:30pm*
* Full time: Friday-Sunday: 7pm-7am*
* *Special weekend and weekend shift pay differentials applied!

* On-call for procedural call with low call back rate for evenings/weekends (1 weeknight every other week and 1 weekend every other month on average)
* Average scans include Pediatric, cardiac, stroke/neuro, procedures (procedural CT department)
* Siemens and Cannon Equipment across 3 scanners.
* High volumes with adequate staffing and extremely low call back rates
* Only pediatric hospital in the state!

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
* Computed Tomographic (CT) certification.

Responsibilities:

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury using a CT scanning device according to protocols established by radiologists.

* Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and nurses that are specific to the exam being performed in order to assist the provider in the proper diagnosis.
* Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient. Consult ordering provider as needed.
* Assist provider during invasive procedures.
* Administer oral and IV contrast prior to procedures.
* May assist in training of CT students.
* Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required.
* Perform daily equipment inspections. Participate in call rotation as needed.
* Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Experience: 0 years relevant experience
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
* Computed Tomographic (CT) certification.
