Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The CT Technologist is a Registered Radiologic Technologist who under the direction of the Radiologist or supervising technologist performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Must strictly adhere to the State of California Radiation Safety Regulations as it applies to worker and patient safety.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
* CA Radiology Tech. (R) (F)
* ARRT R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT)
* BLS (AHA required)
* Venipuncture preferred
* 1 year acute hospital imaging procedures required
* Licensed CT(Computed Tomography) required as follows; Hires after 05/15/2011 but before 7/15/2014 require license within 1 yr of hire. Hires 7/15/2014 and after require CT License upon hire
*Travelers not required to have Fluoroscopy or Venipuncture.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Demonstrated competency required within 30-days of hire
Must have the ability to read write and speak English.
Preferred:
1 - 2 years CT experience preferred.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
