Responsibilities:
As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.
Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
* Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations i.e. Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro and Interventional Procedures
* Assists Interventional Radiologist by accurately scanning the area of interest requested by Radiologist i.e. biopsies and drainages
* Ensures patient is ready for scan i.e. confirms appropriate gauge IV needle, appropriate type/dose of contrast and allergy status
* Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol i.e. completes exams in Radnet, incident reports/extravasation forms, patient contrast information forms, side/site forms and documents exam information in CT log
* Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient, consults physician as necessary
* Encourages good working relationships, promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner and motivates staff
Qualifications:
Required
* Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program. and, upon hire and
* Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
* CT Radiology Tech: AZ, upon hire and
* Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
Preferred
* Three years of CT experience
